At the first game following the one year anniversary of Sean Taylor’s tragic death, the home game against the New York Giants on Nov. 30, 2008 at 1 p.m., Taylor will be inducted into the Ring of Fame at FedExField.

The induction will be performed in a pregame ceremony featuring a video tribute and messages from former teammates, along with the presentation of a commemorative plaque to members of Taylor’s family.

This is an advance warning, as the team is recommending that fans arrive early for this game, so they can be in their seats for the ceremony.

  1. Hey Matt, any interior rumors about D. Hall? Maybe after he clears waivers, bring him in for a visit?

  4. This is well deserved!! i wear his pro bowl jersey every sunday! The next thing to do is retire his number. It is well deserved!!

    R.I.P. Sean Taylor

  5. Excellent player; tragic end; however, wasn’t with us long enough/did enough for us to merit this recognition. I am sure that there are far more deserving former Redskins than him for this perpetual award.

  6. Sean Taylor was one of the best to ever put on that uniform. Bottom line is if he were to have performed his whole career the way he did the first 3 years no question, hall of famer period. I see where some people might think of this as too soon, but why delay the inevitable? He would have gotten in the ring either way so lets honor him as the great player he was regardless if it was for only 3 years.

  7. I’m very happy about this induction for Sean. I will be in attendance at that game and am looking forward to the ceremony. To this day I miss him out there on the field!

  8. SEAN TAYLOR WAS DA BEST SAFTEY ALIVE WEN HE WAS PLAYIN MAN.
I THINK HE STILL IS DA BEST EVERYTIME SOMEBODY SAT WHO’S DA BEST PLAYER N DA NFL D WISE I SAY SEAN TAYLOR THEN I PUT UP DA 21 SIGN…!
